My friend Shirley

This post is for my friend Shirley who is a talented artist and has a husband who is a whiz at turning wood. She said she reads my blog . HELLO Shirley!!  Hello everyone else too! Its been a while. We are doing well. We are taking a bit of slow down time and boy is it nice! Much needed time to catch a breath and clean!  Organize and sort.  Doesn't sound like much of a vacation does it? We stopped taking orders about a week ago ...just finishing up the last 2 shirts today then we can start to get serious about the organization thing. (bother)  Then once everything on my list is done. Im taking a whole week to myself to just play!!! That however is probably still 2 weeks away.  But its fun looking forward to it and planning it. I hope your fall is a gorgeous one and your winter is mild. I'll try to stop by again before the next holiday and check on everyone. Please leave a comment and let me know how you are!

Looking Back

Looking back on this "blog" tells me two things.   I still do NOT know how to blog and it seems I only blog on holidays and birthdays or special events. This particular one being my Birthday month!!!!  As the great Stevie Nicks says......Children get older ....I'm getting older too.  I have found getting older is not so bad, just different. But so much better than the alternative. We are taking some time to "play" For my husband this means game time. For me its just more crafting , but crafting that "I" want to do, not something that someone ordered!   And that feels so good! So here is one of my recent days of play.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Just wanted to make an update to wish everyone a great Easter. Spring is here in Dallas. My roses are blooming like crazy. Everything that made it thru the harsh summer last year is in bloom. We did loose a few things to the constant high temps and drought but looking around at all the beauty of the yard now it is a distant memory.

Spring is here

We have been staying pretty busy with baseball season . Doing shirts for little league teams and their moms and dads and coaches. But Sunday I took the day off and spent a lot of time in the chaise lounge chair in the courtyard soaking up the sun and enjoying the roses.

With Valentines coming up Im reminded of a little boy named Mason.

Mason and his family have my heart! Thanks to Mary Kobe for telling about him. Knowing of him , even for such a short time, affected me for life.  http://masonarik.blogspot.com/

Well it looks like I've lagged behind on the blog again!`

It has been a very busy 6 months. The closer to Christmas it got the more orders we got.  The last two weeks before Christmas were a bit stressful trying to get all the orders out . Then just when things were looking caught up I got the flu. A rough two weeks but WE DID IT.  We got all orders delivered by Christmas eve. It was stressful for a bit like I said but it was still invigorating and fun!  And it was so nice to get all the feedback from happy customers!!! I LOVE the attaboys even more than the cash.

I am older now.

Today is my birthday. I'm not saying which one, be nice, don't ask :). I have decided today is all about Me me me me me. What that will entail I am not sure. But its going to be good . The first thing I did was to CLOSE the shop to orders, which means I get to do what I want to do . I have a cute graphic cut out for our grandson that will be here in October and I think I'm going to start by getting that pressed on the little white onsie I have waiting.  I hope YOUR day is as awesome as Mine is going to be. !
