Christmas In July Crop at Blackcat forum.

Im am excited about having a couple of challenges in the Christmas in July Crop on the Blackcat forum. I've been busy getting 3 groups of ATC cards ready for the MTC ATC card swap Zenita is hosting. And then getting ready for the 4th of july festival in our local town and now that all that is finished, I am getting my projects done for the BC crop. Birthdays

We have many birthdays in our family during the months of May June July and August. Im beginning to love working in paper...it was a media I fought or it fought me. Thanks to the great people Ive met , Ive learned so much. The Birthday word book is for my daughter. The file was shared by Alyssa at mythoughtsexactly . Easter was a wonderful day.

I love holidays. All holidays. Because on holidays my daughter comes home for a home cooked meal! It was nice enough outside (baring the wind) that we decided to have t-bones on the grill. Along with that we had some mashed potatoes that were so good my daughter was making noises as she tasted them that reminded me of the sounds she used to make as she was drinking her bottle when she was a baby! WOW thats some good taters. The corn on the cob was fresh and oh so sweet! Top that with some warm french bread and we were stuffed and happy. I hope your Easter was just as nice.

Beginning to Challenge Myself

My sisters birthday is coming up and I decided this year I would MAKE her bday card. Just to start to become more comfortable with paper crafts. Amazingly I can cut Glass and make it do what I want...and vinyl as well...but find myself completely intimidated by paper.

Motivated by a new friend

Ive decided to try to update my blog at least once a week.
Today I am so excited about a new graphic I recieved from a friend. I am currently working on making it into either a nightshirt or a wall vinyl or maybe both! Either way I just love her!

Our Son just married the most wonderful Irish girl who has brought with her , her familys Irish Toast. "Heres to the best people in the World , there are so few of us left."

My turn.

My husband keeps telling me "its Your turn". What he means is now that the kids are grown and gone and Ive done my duty as a mom, its time for me to have a life. Well I know what they mean about youth being wasted on the young. Now that I can do all those great fun things I gave up....I find I dont want to do those things anymore. My dreams have changed.Im content to sit and work on what ever craft Im "into at the moment". The big dreams of traveling the world and fishing boating camping etc etc well it would take away from my craft time! Strange how little time there is in retirement. I was afraid I would be bored. So far it hasnt happen.
